I cleaned and oiled a deep Lodge cast iron pan (with olive oil) then cooked onions, garlic and hamburg.
Cover with pie crust and bake in the oven at 350F for 45 minutes or until the crust is done.
I looked at a variety of recipes online and took different ideas to make a fairly simple and versatile dish. You can use any ground meat and whatever veggies you have available. You can add stock or gravy instead of water. I made a quick crust to cover it and it was done. You could also use a pre-made crust (or two if you prefer).
It’s simple, uses only one pan and can be different every time you make it. Easy to make, easy to clean up and delicious!
