Wednesday, October 25th

Another rainy day today, so I spent some time reading and working on a craft for a Christmas gift and watched ghost stories. Have I mentioned that I really enjoy ghost stories? My favorite one being  the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim.CAROL-DVD Alastair Sim

The room scheduled for cleaning was the front hall which included a bunch of paperwork, crafting supplies and some shredding I need to do. I got through about half of stuff I needed to sort out, and because it was raining, I didn’t do the windows. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is a nicer day – I definitely could use a day outside to balance out this week. I’d like to do a video of the garden before we clean up for the end of season, so hopefully the weather will cooperate!

I have spent quite a bit of time cleaning, sorting, organizing, and donating and now we are deciding where to keep the things we use on a regular basis. One of the things I realized today is that I have things separated into storage containers by holiday, but I really need them stored by season. For example: Our autumn decorations include some for Halloween and Thanksgiving;  winter includes Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Spring includes Easter and Memorial Day and so on. We also have candles, linens, etc. that we use during each season and I think that storing these things all together will make it easier to organize and keep track of it all.

I also made dinner – gemelli with sausage and tomato sauce, but that post will have to wait for another day. It’s so cool to be able to use our own tomatoes!

So, over all, today was a bit slower because it needed to be, and hopefully tomorrow will be an outdoor project day!

Have a great night!
